After a career working for publishing and creative agencies, I followed my passion for food and retrained at The Edinburgh School of Food and Wine. I worked as a private chef in the beautiful wilds of Perthshire but decided to swap the hills for city life, and returned to London to work as a food stylist and chef.
In between food styling work and recipe writing I teach at a wonderful cookery school, Food at 52, who run a range of adult classes – from Thai and Vietnamese to vegetarian, Spanish and Southern Indian – in a homely and relaxed setting. I really thrive on the interaction with the customers and helping them develop their cookery skills.
Food is my absolute passion – whether that’s cooking with seasonal ingredients, creating new recipes and discovering inspirational places to eat. When I’m not cooking I love to run in Epping Forest or escape back to the hills for a hike, whenever I get the opportunity.
